SAP has introduced significant advancements in SAP Signavio and SAP LeanIX at the SAP SAPPHIRE 2024 event. This year, SAP has unveiled groundbreaking features in its business transformation suite and strategically acquired SAP LeanIX, further solidifying its leadership in the enterprise architecture market. This acquisition marks a significant milestone in SAP's mission to provide comprehensive enterprise architecture management and business process transformation solutions.

Also, at SAP SAPPHIRE last week, SAP has announced it has entered an agreement to acquire WalkMe, a leader in digital adoption platforms (DAPs). DAPs enable customers to streamline user journeys across diverse application landscapes and provide guidance on processes and workflows. The envisioned combination complements SAP’s Business Transformation Management portfolio around SAP Signavio and SAP LeanIX solutions to help customers on their transformation journeys with a focus on the end-user, change management and adoption.

With SAP LeanIX now seamlessly integrated into SAP's suite of solutions and the intended acquisition of WalkMe, businesses will be able to access best practices and methodologies to unify processes, applications, people and data, enhancing their end-to-end enterprise observability  and enabling a comprehensive view of enterprise architecture, business process management and adoption.

Unveiling the New SAP Signavio Process Transformation Manager

A key highlight of this year's SAP SAPPHIRE event is the introduction of the SAP Signavio Process Transformation Manager. This tool is designed to bridge the gap between insights and actions, enabling organizations to effectively capture, prioritize, and manage process improvement initiatives. Key features include:

  • Centralized Insight Management: Capture, prioritize, and manage insights from SAP Signavio and other sources in a single, centralized location, ensuring a comprehensive view of the initiative landscape.
  • Benchmarking Analytics: Compare the company's performance against industry standards to identify improvement areas and set competitive targets.

Faster deployments with the Value Accelerator Library:  the library represents the one place for the creation and consumption of content. SAP Signavio global customers and partners can access a curated collection of pre-built value accelerators, streamlining business transformation programs and enhancing outcome quality.

SAP LeanIX Integration: Enhancing IT and Process Landscape Observability

With SAP LeanIX now part of the SAP family, customers can expect enhanced capabilities in managing their technology landscapes. Key integrations include:

  • SAP Landscape Discovery: Automatically discover and inventory application data across SAP cloud and on-prem systems, reducing the time and effort required to maintain accurate landscape information.
  • Technology Radar Reports: Gain a consolidated view of  organization's technology landscape, supporting better assessment and standardization of technology, tools, languages, and frameworks.
  • Reference Business Architecture: The reference business architecture will allow organisations to build business capabilities that align perfectly with SAP's best practices. Their expert application recommendations will seamlessly complement the organisations' business capabilities and help achieve your objectives.

Empowering Business Process Transformation with AI

SAP Signavio's latest offerings leverage artificial intelligence to drive business process transformation. The new Process AI features provide:

  • Instant Process Recommendations: Obtain preconfigured process models based on a comprehensive database of SAP best practices, accelerating the move from exploration to process design.
  • Performance Indicators Recommender: Instantly identify relevant process performance indicators, facilitating a seamless transition from problem identification to measurement.
  • Text-to-Insights Analysis: Empower users to ask questions in natural language and receive immediate insights, democratizing process mining and increasing the relevance of analysis outputs.

Harness AI within Enterprise Architecture to drive Business Transformations

  • Effectively document your landscape: Save time and improve accuracy by automating context-aware population of arbitrary text fields, e.g., fact sheet or report descriptions. Generate text and summaries and adjust them with the click of a button.
  • Automate Enterprise Architecture Inventory Building: With SAP LeanIX's inventory builder, organizations can accelerate time to value by quickly building their workspace. This is achieved by automatically transforming architecture diagrams or text into fact sheets. It also helps to reduce the time spent curating and manually entering architecture data.
  • AI adoption and governance: Organizations will benefit from understanding how and where AI is used within their IT landscapes. By exploring the impact and potential of AI to support specific business capabilities, guidance can be provided on how AI can help organizations achieve their business objectives.

The enhancements in SAP Signavio, the acquisition of SAP LeanIX and the intention to acquire WalkMe demonstrate SAP's commitment to providing comprehensive solutions that drive business transformation from strategy to execution. By integrating advanced AI capabilities and offering centralized management of insights and initiatives, SAP continues to empower organizations to make faster, more confident decisions and achieve quantifiable business impacts.
