In QKS Group’s assessment, Onix stood out for its ability to deliver end-to-end AI and data services with consistently high impact. The SPARK Matrix highlighted Onix’s comprehensive service offerings and its capacity to serve a broad audience of enterprise customers. Onix earned strong ratings across all parameters, reflecting both technical excellence and proven customer success.

According to Prabhat Mishra, Analyst at QKS Group, “The real promise of AI services lies in moving beyond experimental projects to enterprise-wide transformation. Onix has pioneered this shift with its innovation-first approach, unifying agentic AI and synthetic data capabilities into a framework that accelerates adoption, unlocks new insights, and ensures responsible deployment.” This perspective aligns with QKS Group’s findings that Onix’s unique combination of cloud, data, and AI capabilities set it apart as a market leader.

One of the key reasons behind Onix’s leadership is its investment in proprietary accelerators and platforms. QKS Group specifically noted Onix’s IP-driven Bird Suite, a collection of tools (aptly named Eagle, Raven, Pelican, Kingfisher, Phoenix, and more) which automate and streamline the data migration and modernization process at every stage and enables AI capabilities and use cases by introducing the industry’s first trio of a Business Catalog, Business Glossary, and Business LLM. This IP backbone, coupled with Onix’s 20+ year partnership with Google Cloud, enables the company to deliver solutions that are scalable, secure, and optimized for enterprise needs. With its deep expertise and proven innovations, Onix is consistently recognized by industry analysts and partners as a leader in driving data modernization and AI adoption.

Pioneering Agentic AI Platforms

In 2025, Onix launched Wingspan, an agentic AI platform designed to bridge the gap from data to AI deployment. Wingspan incorporates autonomous and deterministic AI agents that act across the data lifecycle, enabling faster adoption of modern data platforms and domain-specific AI solutions compared to traditional methods. This platform addresses common challenges in AI projects: it embeds a robust context engine (codified by Onix’s Eagle knowledge graph) to provide domain-specific context for AI models, thereby improving model accuracy and relevance. At the same time, Wingspan’s automated agent workflows help organizations overcome data pipeline bottlenecks, reduce manual intervention, and contain cloud costs during AI implementation. By ensuring transparent, human-in-the-loop automation, the platform combines the best of human strategic oversight with machine-speed execution, delivering total visibility and intelligent monitoring throughout modernization projects. This helps in deploying domain-specific AI solutions up to 2–3x faster than traditional methods.

Designed with compliance, scalability, and trust in mind, Wingspan provides a multi-layered, adaptable framework that organizations can tailor to their specific use cases, from migration planning to AI model training, ensuring faster time-to-value, lower risk, and guaranteed business outcomes.

Onix’s emphasis on agentic AI is rapidly translating into real-world solutions. The company has been “at the forefront of agentic AI-driven customer service transformation,” according to Onix CEO Sanjay Singh. With the recent integration of Google’s Agentspace and advanced virtual agent solutions (bolstered by Onix’s acquisition of UJET’s services unit in 2025), Onix has extended its agentic AI expertise into customer engagement and contact center operations. This means enterprises can deploy intelligent AI agents for tasks like customer support, leveraging LLMs in a secure, domain-tailored manner. The result is a new generation of AI-enabled applications that improve customer experience while lowering operational costs, reinforcing Onix’s position as a go-to partner for AI innovation in the enterprise contact center space.

Innovating with Synthetic Data and Generative AI

Onix is solving another critical challenge in AI adoption: data scarcity and privacy. High-quality data is the fuel of AI, yet many organizations struggle with limited or sensitive datasets. Onix’s answer is Kingfisher, its proprietary tool that provides production-quality synthetic data generation on demand. Kingfisher can rapidly create realistic and representative datasets without relying on sensitive real data, thus eliminating the need for complex and time-consuming PII filtering in regulated industries. By augmenting scarce data and preserving privacy, this synthetic data capability allows companies in sectors like healthcare, finance, and the public sector to develop and train AI models safely and effectively. In fact, treating “data as a product” and leveraging data augmentation and synthetic data generation is a key trend for 2025 that Onix has identified as vital for addressing data scarcity and compliance concerns.

Onix has also been an early mover in the generative AI wave. Another one of its IPs, Phoenix, is an AI-driven platform that simplifies how organizations interact with data and AI models. Phoenix combines generative AI with business intelligence, offering an intuitive interface for users to query data and receive AI-generated insights in natural language. This approach enables responsible, secure, and scalable AI adoption across industries, by abstracting the complexity of AI and delivering powerful analytics and decision support directly to business users. In practice, Phoenix automates much of the heavy lifting in data analysis: it surfaces trends, anomalies, and predictions from raw datasets using AI, so that decision-makers can act on real-time information without needing data science expertise. By democratizing access to insights and accelerating data-driven decision-making, Phoenix helps enterprises capitalize on generative AI safely and effectively. Onix’s CTO, Niraj Kumar, has highlighted that tools like Kingfisher and Phoenix “are reshaping enterprise data management for AI”. The former by solving data scarcity and protecting sensitive information, and the latter by simplifying AI deployment so organizations can harness powerful models without usual complexities.

Driving Impact Across Industries

Crucially, Onix’s AI services are not confined to one sector. They are making an impact across a diverse range of industries. The company’s expertise span across healthcare and life sciences, retail and consumer goods, public sector, manufacturing, financial services, and telecommunications, among others. Onix tailors its solutions to each domain’s unique challenges. Recent use cases highlight how Onix’s solutions are delivering transformative outcomes:

  • Telecom Cloud Modernization (TELUS) – TELUS, a major telecommunications provider in Canada, partnered with Onix to overhaul its siloed legacy data systems. Onix migrated 14 petabytes of data from over 100 sources into a unified Google Cloud data platform, modernizing more than 200 enterprise data pipelines. The impact was significant: TELUS eliminated roughly 30% of obsolete data, leading to immediate cost savings and lower energy usage. The migration also improved data accessibility and integration, boosting the company’s decision-making capabilities, and cut operational costs by retiring expensive legacy infrastructure. By leveraging cloud-native warehouses (BigQuery) and Onix’s automation, TELUS achieved a scalable, efficient data environment that supports better analytics and customer insights.
  • Data Validation at Scale (Cisco) – Recently, Cisco turned to Onix to ensure a smooth cloud migration. Cisco needed to validate enormous volumes of data as it moved from on-premise warehouses to Google Cloud. Using Onix’s Pelican tool and expertise, Cisco was able to automate the validation of 5,000–7,000 database tables (about 2 trillion rows of data) with zero errors. This automation drove an 80% improvement in testing efficiency and cut testing time by half, compared to manual processes. Ultimately, with 100% automated verification of the migrated data, Cisco achieved cloud migration assurance at a speed and accuracy impossible to attain with traditional methods. The project not only ensured data integrity but also freed up valuable time for Cisco’s teams to focus on innovation instead of tedious validation tasks.
  • Customer Experience Transformation (Pizza Pizza) – In the quick-service restaurant industry, uptime and customer experience are paramount. Pizza Pizza, a leading restaurant chain, engaged Onix to modernize its IT infrastructure and improve application performance during peak hours. Onix migrated Pizza Pizza’s core systems to a multi-region Google Cloud architecture, significantly enhancing regional redundancy and system resilience. This cloud modernization set the stage for advanced capabilities: the company can now more easily integrate Contact Center AI solutions and richer data analytics into its operations. By expanding Pizza Pizza’s cloud footprint and deploying AI-driven contact center improvements, Onix helped the business not only achieve immediate performance gains but also positioned it for future innovations in customer service and personalization.

These examples are just a snapshot of how Onix is delivering AI-powered transformation across sectors. The common thread in these success stories is Onix’s ability to combine cloud infrastructure, data engineering, and AI know-how into tailored solutions that solve real business problems. Many of these projects leverage Onix’s proprietary tools (for example, using Pelican to guarantee data accuracy for Cisco, or Eagle and Raven to accelerate TELUS’s migration) and the guidance of Onix’s expert teams to ensure smooth execution.

In its technology roadmap, Onix is looking to double down on integrated cloud-data-AI offerings and industry-specific solutions. The formation of a Customer Advisory Board in 2024, comprising C-suite leaders from major enterprises, indicates that Onix is closely attuned to client needs and emerging trends when shaping its product roadmap. This client-centric approach ensures that Onix’s services remain relevant and impactful as technology and market demands evolve. Additionally, trends like agentic AI, generative AI, and data productization, which Onix has been championing, are set to drive the next wave of innovation. Onix is well-positioned to capitalize on these trends: by integrating autonomous AI agents into enterprise workflows, promoting responsible AI practices (through explainability and governance), and leveraging synthetic data to unlock AI opportunities where data was a barrier, Onix is shaping the blueprint for successful AI adoption.
