Last month, I had the opportunity to engage with the AgilePoint team as part of the Intelligent Process Orchestration (IPO) SPARK Matrix research study at Quadrant Knowledge Solutions. During the discussion, valuable insights were gained about the evolving IPO platform. The latest advancements within the AgilePoint platform address several pressing challenges head-on. These challenges include the absence of AI-ready data, the lack of a unified data model across platforms, and the existence of platform-specific silos. The focus lies in devising scalable and agile solutions capable of facilitating seamless cross-functional end-to-end orchestration.

A pivotal aspect highlighted is the necessity for a shared data model. This would enable applications involved in orchestration to operate on a common data model and application logic, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of AI implementation. The discussion transitions to process orchestration, maintaining emphasis on cross-functional and end-to-end orchestration as fundamental elements. AgilePoint's objective is to address substantial business challenges, particularly those associated with AI integration, through a focus on strategic innovation rather than tactical gains. In this context, AgilePoint distinguishes itself from conventional local development and no-code tools by prioritizing sustainable application modernization.

In terms of business operations and partnerships, AgilePoint boasts a substantial network. It has forged partnerships with SAP Signavio for process mining, UiPath and Automation Anywhere for RPA, Microsoft for Office 365, and Power Automate. The company also collaborates with Salesforce for CRM, and AgilePoint is the only enterprise process orchestration vendor listed on the App Exchange.

The discussion provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the platform's functionality, which encompasses a user-friendly modeling tool for visualizing processes, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), metrics, reporting, and customized dashboards tailored to specific user personas. In AgilePoint's Manage Center, administrators and application owners are granted complete visibility into running applications and inflight processes, allowing them to manage them as needed. This includes the ability to rollback, skip, split, or merge running processes, as well as inflight migration between versions. AgilePoint v9 provides re-designed, user-friendly, drag-and-drop tools for creating custom-branded, native mobile apps. This empowers non-technical users to create mobile apps for iOS and Android, with numerous deployment options, including public store deployment, private (Meta Data Management) stores, and device-specific use.

Aligned with current global trends, the platform continually employs integrated AI methods to analyze processes for optimization potential and undertake targeted measures. The company intends to federate collaboration through a primary strategy that combines AgilePoint UX Design System – eForms Theme Designer, Inbuilt Document Management System, and Automated Testing Framework. AgilePoint also plans to leverage AI through AI-assisted app generation. This involves auto-generating business process models and eForms using NLP, which is currently in beta and will be expanded and refined in upcoming releases.

In conclusion, AgilePoint is developing its product with a metadata-driven, AI-ready, and highly adaptable orchestration framework, empowering businesses to create and continuously improve applications efficiently. They also introduce the concept of operationalizing AI within the orchestration process. This involves AI making suggestions and dynamically adjusting the orchestration flow based on real-time information. AgilePoint is also planning to leverage AI through AI-assisted app generation. This involves auto-generating business process models and eForms using NLP. This feature is currently in beta and will be expanded and refined in upcoming releases. Additionally, there will be support for voice-command-enabled task management.
