In the second session, Marc Stromberg — Co-Founder and Key Account Manager at GBTEC — along with Tino Garbe, Internal Auditor at FH Erfurt, discussed how low-code/no-code solutions are positioned to dominate by 2025. Marc introduced the BIC platform, an AI-powered process management and automation platform, while Tino addressed common challenges and solutions related to accuracy, mail delivery times, and transparency.
Juan Jiménez - Huyke—Lead Product Strategy Engineer at Appian — took the stage for the third and final session of Day 1, providing insights into navigating the future of work by leveraging BPM for success. Day 2 Highlights:
Frank Thielmann—Head of 'Functions of the Future' Transformation at Takeda—initiated the second day with a discussion on ‘Seamless hyperautomation: Pushing the frontiers of integration with analytics, AI, and ML in BPM.’ He explored how digital tools, such as process mining and Robotic Process Automation (RPA), are replacing the need for experts in the BPM market. Thielmann underscored the importance of change management for transformation projects and highlighted major challenges, including technology integration, data security, and real-time reactive process management.
The concluding session by Oliver Zeller — CEO & Co-founder of Symbio, General Manager BPM— Celonis, focused on ‘Scaling BPM to your entire organization with process intelligence.’ Zeller shared insights into mega trends shaping the future of BPM and highlighted BPM platform trends, such as one data model-driven end-to-end process intelligence and human-centric process experiences.
Key Takeaways:
The key takeaway emphasized the crucial role that BPM trends, such as Intelligent Process Orchestration (IPO), will play in the upcoming future. Reflecting on the webinar series, Arun U expressed his enthusiasm for the enriching experience. During the session, Oliver specifically highlighted IPO as one of the megatrends in the BPM space for 2024. This aligns perfectly with the research of Quadrant’s research in the BPM and Process Automation Domain, where a dedicated ‘SPARK Matrix Report Study’ is scheduled to be published around March 2024. This serves as strong evidence that Quadrant’s proprietary SPARK Matrix Study on IPO is already generating significant interest in the market, further validating analysis and market predictions conducted by QKS.
Conclusion:
PEX Network plans to continue offering monthly webinars covering a range of BPM topics, providing access to and interactions with leading vendors. This webinar series not only highlighted the current state of BPM but also reinforced the industry’s commitment to staying ahead and relevant in terms of trends and innovations. As noted by Arun U, the exploration of 'Intelligent Process Orchestration' remains a crucial aspect for businesses aiming to thrive in the evolving BPM landscape.
