Armis Global Industry Analyst Update – 28 November 2023

Armis,the asset intelligence cybersecurity company, recently invited the industry analyst community to attend their Global Industry Analyst Update call on Tuesday, 28th November 2023.
Narayan Gokhale, Associate Research Director, Quadrant Knowledge Solutions (www.quadrant-solutions.com ) attended this hour-long session.
The call covered Armis’ corporate overview, their platform Armis CentrixTM, which addresses critical cybersecurity needs for their clients across four solutions, namely, Asset management & security; OT/IOT security; Medical device security and Vulnerability prioritization & remediation, Case studies, Armis business and technology roadmap followed by the demo of the software platform.
This was the first update session for the Analyst Community by the company, after they held their inaugural “Armis Engage” Event, on 12-Sep-2023 which was hosted at the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square. In this event they. shared details about their achievements over the past one year and unveiled their vision for the future. This event had served as the official launch of their AI-Powered Platform, Armis CentrixTM that provides organizations, with the ability to see, protect and manage their entire attack surface. Armis Centrix is based on AI and leverages AI in every facet to drive a comprehensive suite of tools for effectively managing cyber risk exposure across all their four solutions mentioned above.
The update call was hosted by Julie Azoulai, their Analyst Relations Director. Most of their top management was a part of the presentation team that included Yevgeny Dibrov (Co-Founder & CEO), Desiree Lee (CTO of Data); Alex Mosher (CRO), Tom Mayblum (Group Product Manager) and Rebecca Cradick (Senior Director of Global Communications).
Yevgeny Dibrov kicked off the presentation with their corporate overview and introduced their platform Armis CentrixTM. The company was founded 8 years ago in 2015 and now has 600 plus employees. In Feb-2023, they touched USD 100M in ARR – Annual Recurring Revenues, a unique feat to achieve in such a short time. Their company valuation is more than USD 3B plus. Over the past decade or so, there has been an explosion of assets. It is estimated that by 2025, there would be 50 billion plus connected devices (IT, cyber-physical, Apps, Mobile devices, cloud workloads, etc.), only a minority of them are managed, the rest is unmanaged. In less than 6 years, there has been 689% increase in vulnerabilities.
IT/ OT/ IOT / IoMT landscape is changing quickly, the organizational attack surface is expanding at a rapid rate and organizations are challenged to prioritize remediation efforts.
Alex Mosher highlighted the key industry verticals in which Armis protects critical assets, such as airports, critical infrastructure, medical assets and patient care environments, F & B, Retail, semiconductors, pharma distributors and the US government etc. Some of the recent milestones include the launch of their platform on the AWS and Google Cloud Marketplace and advanced integrations with ServiceNow, Fortinet, Splunk. He then touched upon their key customers as well as their global partnerships and alliances.
Desiree Lee presented the details of the Centrix platform and claimed that Armis CentrixTM AI is the largest cybersecurity AI engine in the world. This platform is based on three main facets – See (Discover, contextualize, enrich and profile every asset), Protect (Take proactive measures, detect threats to stop attacks) and Manage (Establish workflows and track risk reduction). Armis CentrixTM takes a modular approach to address key security challenges through the four AI-driven solutions, as mentioned above. The AI-driven asset intelligence engine is under the hood of this platform, and it tracks more than 3 B devices. Desiree then went into some details of the four solutions – The Vulnerability prioritization & remediation module which deals with the full asset inventory and CMDB (Configuration Management Database) of IT /IoT /OT/IoMT/IIOT/Cloud/Virtual, is the topmost layer that binds the other three modules of Asset management & security; OT/IOT security; and medical device security.
Then Alex Mosher covered customer case studies that included, Colgate Palmolive, Mondelez International, Takeda, Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, each representing a different industry vertical that they serve.
Tom Mayblum talked about Platform Innovation and Roadmap for each of their 4 solutions. Some of the highlights mentioned were - Advanced AI-driven asset discovery and profiling, External attack surface management (EASM) and attack path mapping, Natural language interactions, Automation Orchestration, Spearheading BMS (Building Management Security) Security, Tailored healthcare cybersecurity, Exposure and remediation-driven vulnerability management, etc.
The call concluded with a brief platform demo by Desiree Lee.
To summarize, Armis is now strongly positioning their AI-driven Armis CentrixTM platform across all the asset types (IT /IoT /OT/IoMT/IIOT/Cloud/Virtual) as “The Cyber Exposure Management Platform”.
Armis now plans to provide quarterly updates that will highlight particular solutions within their portfolio and the analyst community looks forward to such future sessions.
